Senior center Good As New Garage Sale is Coming

Saturday, Sept. 7; 9am – 3pm; Rain or Shine at the Holliston Senior Center and its Garage The guiding principle of this year’s fall fundraiser, as the name suggests, are items that are as good as new and are limited in size to fit inside the building and /or garage.

Garage Sale donation drop off dates for good as new items: August 20, 22, 27, 29 from 10am to 1pm Volunteers are needed to make this sale a success. Email Sheila to volunteer: [email protected] Help is needed on donation days, Friday, Sept 6 and Saturday, Sept 7 for set up, staff the sales areas, and food preparation and service.

Food will be available to purchase throughout the day.

All items must be in good condition to be accepted!

Historian Presentation August 20 at 1:30pm The Artifactual Scholar, G. A. Di Gregorio’s bringing the past to you.

Since 2013, the Artifactual Scholar has been delivering entertaining, educational presentations and lectures on a variety of historical topics.

Riding the Post Road: Travel Adventures in Colonial New England- We have always been a restless people, wandering and traveling for business or pleasure. From the time of the earliest se􏰂lements, sca􏰂ered throughout New England, Americans have been on the move. This talk will discuss how people traveled in colonial New England, where they went, and the important role that taverns played. Along the way, we will meet intriguing characters, partake in unusual food and drink, and witness colorful sights.
