The Holliston Historical Society’s annual Harvest Fair takes place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 10-4 (rain date Sept. 29).
The fair, located on Route 16 (547 Washington Street), is a great way to celebrate the first day of Fall with many vendors, antiques, crafts, a silent auction, food and, of course, our apple pies!
There is literally something for everyone. Vendors will be offering a wide range of crafts including pottery, (some commemorative pottery) ceramics, crocheted items, handmade sweaters, hats, scarves, and bags. Woodcrafts will include signs, flags, cutting and charcuterie boards, birdhouses, and home décor. There are textile items including table runners, placemats, dish towels, doll clothes, dog bandanas and, of course, homemade dog treats! Upcycled items will be made into tabletop pieces and home décor.
There will be jewelry vendors creating unique pieces with gemstones, beads, Venetian glass, sterling silver and much more. Art and craft kits are being offered for adults and children and unique, hand-poured soy candles and natural body products… the list goes on.
For the foodie in us, there will be candy and fudge and delicious freshly made-to-order, fried dough.
The Historical Society also hosts a Kids Corner with games (free) for children to enjoy, the alpacas at the Harvard Alpaca Ranch booth are sure to charm all visitors, and music by Always in Season adds to the overall festive atmosphere of the day.
The Asa Whiting House will be open to visitors 11:30 to 2:30, showcasing items from the Historical Society Collections. Check out the Historical Society Facebook page for information on some of the vendors/crafters who will be at this year’s fair
